HAWAI'I SPEECH-LANGUAGE-HEARING FOUNDATION

As a member of HSHA you are also a member of HSHF, a Hawai'i non-profit foundation.   

HSHF was established in 1982 to assure funds would be available to support continuing education through an annual conference. In early 1998, HSHF was incorporated as a non-profit foundation to support the advancement of  knowledge and the improvement of the clinical practice of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.                         

Hawai'i Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation supports

• HSHA's continuing education programs
• HSHA's annual conventions 
• Individual continuing education grants
• Group continuing education grants
• Research grants and loans for professional members
• Student Scholarships 

Member Recognition

HSHF along with HSHA awards members for outstanding clinical service.  Professional awards include the Honors of the Foundation award, HSHA and HSHF Certificates of Recognition awards, HSHA's Distinguished Service Award, HSHA's Lifetime Clinical Service Award,  HSHA's Professional Service Award and the HSHF Mahalo Service Award to recognize non-members who have made meaningful contributions to serving clients or students with communication disabilities, and awards recognizing families' support in the provision of services to individuals with speech, language, and hearing needs.

We'd love to hear your recommendations and suggestions for anyone deserving recognition!

HSHF assists HSHA in submitting applications to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) Clinical Achievement Award annual competition.
