I am honored and humbled to follow in the footsteps of Kristina Fuentes as HSHA President. Kristina served as HSHA president between 2020 and 2025 and has dedicated her time, energy, and passion to carrying out HSHA’s vision and mission. I am excited to continue this work and recognize that none of it could be accomplished without our hard-working board members.
Like many state organizations, we seek to grow our membership and to provide quality events for our current members by providing live webinars, flexible continuing education opportunities, and community events. We are focused on advocating for our profession and interacting with our national association to support legislative efforts that support the work we do. Although our board may be small in number, the work we do is large in importance and impact.
We are excited to bring a new and better association to you, but please remember, we are a volunteer non-profit organization, and we can only be as good as our members help us to be! If you have any interest in assisting with individual events, please contact us. Please be sure to share, like and comment on our social media posts and get your colleagues involved to attend and share our events. Together, we can improve quality of services, education and community through the Hawaii Speech-Language-Hearing Association!
