Christie Salvador has a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Hawaii-Manoa. For the past 7 years, she has been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Hawaii Department of Education. She has been a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a member of the Hawaii Speech-Language-Hearing Association since 2004.
Since 2006, Christie has been an active participant in HSHA. She served as the co-chair for the HSHA convention committee from 2006-2007, and she was elected to serve as President of the association in 2008. Currently, she serves as the association’s Director of Educational Affairs, Continuing Education Administrator, Membership Committee Chair, Webmaster, Newsletter Editor.
